The Scottish Region of the British Council of Offices held its 2018 Awards Ceremony on Friday 20 April at which Ian Manson, the Chief Executive of Clyde Gateway, was presented with the Chairman’s Award in recognition of his outstanding service to the property industry.

Ian, whose impressive CV extends to almost 40 years of experience in planning, economic development, business growth, regeneration and public/private partnerships, came to Clyde Gateway in 2008 having held a number of senior positions at Glasgow City Council.

He said: “This award is very flattering and quite unexpected and I see it as a reflection on everyone at Clyde Gateway rather than as something entirely personal.

“It has been quietly satisfying to lead on this long-term regeneration effort which is delivering on its promises of a much-needed physical, social and economic transformation of communities in the east end of Glasgow and in neighbouring South Lanarkshire. The past ten years has seen a mix of new offices, industrial and commercial developments, infrastructure improvements and community facilities at locations all across the area while at the same time we have ensured there are investments in local people so that they are in the best possible position to gain the most from the spin-offs and benefits.”

“The entire team at Clyde Gateway, the staff and board members alike, have worked tirelessly this past decade, and the continued backing from all our partners, including local residents and business owners, will help ensure we will remain part of the fabric of the area for many more years to come.
