The Albus

The Albus is a new office development located adjacent to Eastgate just a few hundred yards east of Bridgeton station.

It has been designed in a highly contemporary, efficient and sustainable way that has already been acknowledged with it picking up the prize in the Architectural Excellence category at the 2015 Scottish Property Awards.

Built over three floors with seven open plan spaces ranging between 200 and 400 square metres in size, The Albus has the flexibility to enable occupiers to put their own distinctive and individual stamp on their part of the property, Part of the unique marketing approach for the building involved the creation of an interactive IPad app – the first of its kind for a commercial office scheme in Scotland – in which prospective tenants have the chance to take a 360 degree tour of the building.

The building attracted its first occupier within weeks of completion with MadeBrave® , an award-winning design company founded in 2012 by Andrew Dobbie and whose clients include Aggreko, Bowmore Whisky, Springbank, Linn Products, Air Space, The SSE Hydro and Mary’s Meals, relocating its 20-strong team from Glasgow city centre.

The Albus is now also home to the Peebles Media Group, the leading independent publisher in Scotland.

“There’s a great buzz around Bridgeton at the moment and we’re excited to be part of the area’s regeneration and future. As for the building, The Albus is great – it just feels very MadeBrave® and as you can guess, we’re excited to put our own creative stamp on it.”
