The process of change in our communities is not something new - it has been happening for decades.
For more than 100 years, photographers and artists have captured the changing face of our communities.
Many of these photographs are held in the vaults of the world-famous Mitchell Library at Charing Cross in Glasgow. Others are part of extensive private collections, while many more no doubt lie in boxes sitting in attics and lofts in houses all over the West of Scotland.
In addition to having current images of the area, Clyde Gateway has been fortunate enough to have been supplied with a number of historical images which show just how much has changed over the generations.
