The People's Community Trust, Dalmarnock

We have provided financial support and professional assistance to help establish The People's Community Trust, Dalmarnock.

Its goal is "to act as a vehicle to ensure that maximum community benefit is secured from the planned Regeneration Programmes and Commonwealth Games within designated communities”.

Its key activities include owning, managing and operating a range of community facilities for local residents, as well as developing and delivering a range of economic, social, and environmental services which respond to local needs.

The Trust has already delivered a range of services and activities - as well as informing residents about  Dalmarnock's regeneration.  

The Trust has also has addressed the lack of shops, and supported the development and operation of a community shop until the long term provision of retail facilities is dealt with as part of the proposals being brought forward by City Legacy.
