We want to ensure that residents are part of our success stories and able to share in that sustainable legacy for generations to come.
Community engagement is hugely important to us. From the beginning, we consulted extensively on our plans and proposals, and reacted to what residents had to say. We created a community steering group to advise and guide us on the Bridgeton Cross project, and kept our promise that this would be the first example of residents and business-owners' involvement in shaping our activities.

In 2009/10, there was a six-month consultation on our South Dalmarnock masterplan - with three stages of community engagement involving workshops and discussions managed by an independent consultant. They attracted more than 200 people, who expressed their satisfaction with the organisation and management. Feedback also acknowledged that we were willing to respond to the points raised during the consultation period, and to amend them accordingly.
Clyde Gateway supports a number of key community activities: principal sponsor of the East End 5K Family Fun Run, and a long-term partnership with the Cambuslang/Rutherglen Sports Forum. We also sponsor Finnart Star AFC, a Bridgeton-based amateur football club fielding teams from under-nines to adults.
We have links with popular community festivals in Rutherglen and Cambuslang, assist with the Bridgeton Cross Christmas lights switch-on and support the Bridgeton Community Learning Campus fun days and activities.
We're delighted to have had these opportunities to play a part in such diverse, important activities. We want to continue our support; and, in partnership with those who live in the Clyde Gateway area, will work harder than ever to promote a positive image.
