Dalmarnock Station
Opened in 1895, Dalmarnock Railway Station is only three stops and seven minutes south-east of Glasgow Central, Scotland's largest and busiest train station.
Around 80,000 passengers use the station each year, enjoying a service that offers four trains an hour to and from the city centre, six days per week. But that figure is expected to rise significantly as a result of the construction of the nearby NISA/Velodrome and 2014 Athletes’ Village - and our regeneration of the area around the station.

Between now and 2014, the station will receive almost £10m-worth of improvements - thanks to financial support from Clyde Gateway, Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport and the European Regional Development Fund.
Work includes: re-locating the entrance from Swanston Street to Dalmarnock Road, new lifts, stairways, improved lighting, repairs to the platforms and walls, new transport hub around the station to improve train/bus connections. Work begun in September 2011 and is due to be completed by late 2013.
