Legacy Hub, Dalmarnock

The new Dalmarnock Legacy Hub is one of the most important community aspects to emerge from the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Located adjacent to the Emirates Arena and directly across the road from the 700 new homes that makeup the Athletes’ Village the facility will be owned and run by the People’s Development Trust, a body made up entirely of local residents with appropriate professional support. The Trust will also develop and deliver, from within the new building, a range of economic, social, and environmental services which respond to local needs.

The £3.7 million costs of the Legacy Hub are being met by Clyde Gateway, the Scottish Government, Glasgow City Council and the Big Lottery Fund. It will be home to an all-purpose community centre, a nursery, GP surgery, dental surgery and pharmacy, all of which have been incorporated in response to requests from local residents.

The Legacy Hub was officially opened on 9 October 2015.
