Legacy Hub, Dalmarnock

The new Dalmarnock Legacy Hub is one of the most important community aspects to emerge from the 2014 Commonwealth Games. It officially opened on 9 October 2015.

Located adjacent to the Emirates Arena and directly across the road from the 700 new homes that makeup the Athletes’ Village the facility is owned and run by the People’s Development Trust, a body made up entirely of local residents. The Trust is also developing and delivering, from within Legacy Hub, a range of economic, social, and environmental services which respond to local needs.

The £3.7 million costs of the Legacy Hub were met by Clyde Gateway, the Scottish Government, Glasgow City Council and the Big Lottery Fund. It houses an all-purpose community centre, a nursery, GP surgery, dental surgery and pharmacy, all of which have been attracted by the efforts of the Trust.
