Three new business have moved into Clyde Gateway’s Rutherglen Links Business Park, bringing 34 jobs to the area and joining a growing number of well-established businesses who have moved here. Bathroom retailers Bath Giant have opened a showroom and trade counter. Plumbstore have also opened a bathroom showroom and trade counter, open to both trade and public. Award-winning ice-cream makers Equis are establishing their new expanded production facilities in Rutherglen Links, premises that are are now four-times larger than their previous facility in Hamilton.
Clyde Gateway created the multi-million-pound Rutherglen Links Business Park, on previously vacant and derelict land, to bring significant development opportunities and jobs to the area. All five industrial plots of the 5.6 acre business park were acquired by Harris Finance, an experienced property developer with a successful local track record.
The highly successful speculative industrial developments, led by Harris Finance, sees the latest trio of businesses join a stellar line-up of companies including Ford Retail, Screwfix, TransCanada Turbines and Eurocell. Rutherglen Links Business Park is also home to leading engineering and technology-driven solutions provider SPIE and essential business services providers Clear Business Water bringing the total number of jobs created here to almost 400.
Work has begun on Harris Finance’s latest speculative site at Unit 5 of the business park – a 15,000 sq ft premises, which is expected to be complete later this year, along with two new office pavilions by Clyde Gateway which are expected to complete in September 2020.
